Here I go!

Work is going to be insanely crazy today. I'm just trying to catch my breath before I go in! At least I have the weekend off - woo hoo! I just gotta keep thinking about that....

work wasn't as bad as I anticipated. But I am just now finishing up A&P's scrapbook. It's about 95% done. Still need something for a couple pages in the middle as well as a title. Otherwise I am fairly pleased with how it turned out.

My jaw is killing me right now. I bit into an ice cream sandwich that was too hard and now chewing hurts the left side of my jaw. Hopefully it will get better by tomorrow!

I am getting sleepy...must go to bed soon....

6-8 weeks!!

So I had a pre-op with my doc this morning to do blood work to make sure I'm not preggers (ha!). He said I probably won't be able to run for at least 6-8 weeks! And by run that also means no boot camp, swat or yoga!! This is really going to suck! I guess I'll be going on a diet.

So what that means for me now is to get as much in as possible! I think I will go for a run tomorrow morning...

Mysore was good tonight. I was debating going, but then thinking that I won't be able to after next week... just do it!!

Tomorrow is going to be a crazy day at work. Over 60 eyes!! That's a record for us. And after I must finish A&P's scrapbook. I may actually scan it to the computer as well, for my own records.

That's all for now. Almost time for bed (after I read all my blogs)

Too busy to blog

I have not been motivated to blog lately. Just too many things going on with work and working out and scrapping. I guess that's a good thing!

Our cable seems to be working better now. Hopefully we're done with the drama.

Tonight to Richard's for another AI party. Woo hoo. I guess yoga will wait until tomorrow...

Tuesday, March 28, 2006

I found a cool new blog from Rhonna Farrer. She does this 21 day Art journal challenge where you use a journal to create a new habit or kick an old one. I'm getting the nerve to start it, but as usual I will probably procrastinate. That's what I really need to work on!!

Monday already?!?!?

My run this morning felt good. Get the blood pumpin'. Should have done that yesterday!

This week shouldn't be as crazy as work since we don't have any procedures until Friday. Friday will be all craziness, but hopefully today will be a bit less stressful....

Joe and sofa today - woo hoo!

8:09 PM
Yoga was good this evening. My shoulders are sore!!

Our new sofa is too fabulous! I love it!! It's been so long that I didn't remember what the fabric would be like, but the mohair (yes, it is the hair of a 'mo - hee hee) is so soft. Totally worth the wait!

Missed a day!

What a hectic weekend. Yesterday I was at work all day - I guess last night I assumed I had blogged in the morning. Anyways, after work I came home and tried to nap, but that usually doesn't work for me. So I surfed as well as scrapped! I got my 2005 year-in-review layout done as well as started on A&P's album.

Madonnarama was at SoBe last night so I went with Marc, Richard, Michael D., Darryl, Matt, Johnny from Dallas and Joe. The music was so fun, but of course they didn't really play her cool club mixes until I was exhausted and hot and had to go home. Darryl walked me home around 2 AM.

My phone rang this morning at 6AM so needless to say I didn't get very good sleep. After seeing patients from 8-9:30 I debated going to yoga, but my hangover told me I probably shouldn't be upside down. So I came home and worked on their album until noon, when I met Marc and Michael at little Berry Hill. More people joined and I didn't leave until 5! So nothing much got done today, but it was such a beautiful day, I didn't want to waste it inside! Unfortunately I think I got a little burned on my arms.

So I have gotten some more pages as well as planning done with their album. It's coming together pretty nicely. But I wish I had various pictures in different sizes. Oh well, I just don't have that kind of time! I like doing gift albums, though. They are fun and have an ending. I got some mini album kits from Create for less and I think I will make ones for Ann, Annie and Ree when I see them in August!

I am about to fall over from exhaustion. Tomorrow Joe comes home! Yeah! Our couch gets here! Yeah! I plan on running in the morning (too tired for boot or swat) and yoga in the evening. Over and out.

Friday already!?!?!

I can't believe how fast time goes by. It's almost the end of March. This year is almost 25% over. Good lord, can it slow down some?!?!?

It is like 40 degress outside. WTF???? I thought spring was supposed to be here and it's colder than it has been in a long time. Needless to say I was not inspired to get up and run in the cold. Maybe tomorrow (ha!). Instead, I'm organizing pics and thinking of things to scrap. I am going to do 3 year-in-review layouts based on the ones I've seen from DD's class in BPS. I've done all my Christmas card layouts. So technically I will be "caught up!" But I would really like to do an album for our China trip (that's what I can use that red album I bought from Create for less for). But first I need to finish A&P's book. That's the project for this weekend!

I guess I should go get ready for work...

Thursday, March 23, 2006

..was a great class tonight. Yannis showed me a lot of things and what I need to do to help fix my yoga and get better. I really enjoyed it. Now I have to practice!

The only thing with yoga this late is that I have a feeling I will have a hard time sleeping tonight. Since it's so cold I will probably skip running tomorrow morning and just go to yoga after work. So I will be able to "sleep in" if I can't fall asleep!

Another day...

Joe and the boys are off to Miami today for his "5th annual bachelor party." I have mixed feelings about it. He loves to go so of course I can't stop him. But goodness, it's A LOT of partying and money!! I guess once a year is not too bad. But I'm also thinking this is probably the last year so I don't want to burst his bubble. He will be gone until Monday (when we get our sofa delivered!!!!). I have to work this weekend so it won't be too bad. I will also need to work on A&P's scrapbook which I really haven't touched since Monday. Marc did help me with some quotes on Tuesday so I think it will be coming together.

Boot camp with John this morning was good. Not as tough as last week. Apparently every one was mega sore from all those lunges we did. I remember being tired but not so sore. I think doing yoga helped.

I have a feeling today is going to be another crazy day at work. Actually everyday through Sat will be crazy. Makes the day go by..

Chicken Little is gone!

Thanks goodness!! I couldn't stand watching him sing, although he seems like a sweet kid. But definitely no American Idol. Now I must decide my top 5 for our game....

Work was all craziness today. Only 5 minutes for lunch and I stayed late so no yoga :(

Tomorrow I am going to mysore - I am a little nervous about it...

I took my car to the shop and am waiting for them to tell me it's done. Fingers crossed. Don't need to be at work until 10 so hopefully they will be able to finish it by then!

Boot camp was pretty good today. Not an ass-kicker, but good to get the blood pumpin. I hope yoga will go better tonight!

We had a little get together at Richard's place last night. He lives in the cutest 4-plex. It would be a great place to buy as investment property! He cooked barbeque chicken, beans, corn on the cob and mac and cheese. Yummy! And of course I had two helpings of Darryl's banana pudding. I had to roll out of there by the time AI was over! I think Bucky must go today.

I was going to write something and now I've forgotten...senior moment. Hate those.

Warm up

..before you go to yoga in the mornings! So it's my 3rd day in a row to do. Since Richard is having a little get together for AI this evening, I thought I would try out the morning class. It was fine, just shorter. But the room was freezing and I never really felt warmed up. My muscles were still sore from yesterday. I need to remind myself to do at least 5-10 minutes of warm up before class, just to get the blood pumpin'!

It's back to the grind today. At least I have 2 more hours to goof off!

Trend alert: almost every single store I went to last night - vintage looking tees. Everywhere!

Got my new CK today. The image is not uploading properly so I'll try again later. Time to enjoy the day off and read!

...later. still got allowing me to post image...hmmmm what's going on???

well, it seems like it may be just that picture it's having trouble with. I uploaded my new PINK t-shirts just fine!

i have already perused the mag once and did fall asleep for a bit. a necessary nap after my two-workout day. (SWAT and yoga). my goal is to go to yoga every day this week. tomorrow will be at 6:30 am, wed 7 pm, thurs 7pm for mysore (i'm a little nervous about this one, but since we don't get out of work until 6, i have no choice!) and fri 5:30 pm with eric. I wonder who teaches the early morning class - i heard it's not yannis. i'll find out tomorrow.

joe and i are going to the galleria tonight for some shoppin' and hair stylin' (he is). should be fun (when is shopping not fun?!?!?).

Run run run

SWAT was a great class this morning. George led the advanced group and we did a lot of runnning. I think I was sandbagging a bit, in anticipation of going to yoga, but overall I had a great workout. It's a good way to start the day!

Yesterday was a good scrappin' day. Did pretty much all of my Christmas cards from years past. I only have 2 pics left, one of Mo, Chris and Ethan, and one of Maria and Michael, which don't necessarily have to be scrapped as Christmas cards. I am really liking The Big Picture philosophy. It's taking eons for the chronological scrapper in me to let go, but it's happening, albeit slowly! Having this blog has also helped with my journaling. I find the more I write, the easier it gets. Go figure!

I am a sweaty mess so I should go a shower...

Another early morning

Joe woke me up early since he had to get up to meet Jim to run the Seabrook 1/2 marathon. I, on the other hand, am going to be lazy until it's time for yoga. I just am not motivated to run.....

I get on these weird obsessive kicks when I think about things. After briefly looking at bags with Peg yesterday I am on my online kick again. But I need another bag like I need a hole in my head. What I should have done is bought that Marc Jacobs bag from Saks when it was on sale for $300. Still pricey, yes, but at least it's real. The guy wanted that much for a fake Chanel bag! So next time...(but do I really need a pink MJ bag. of course not. would i like it? well that's a different question.)

Why does it have to end?

Saturdays, that is. It was a good day. I spent the morning at Target, Barnes and Noble and Old Navy before getting highlights with Luis and David at Tova's. Then I met Peggy and Trista for lunch at Andre's. Had a yummy spinach quiche. Laura brought Berkeley over later on. We had a great time just catching up. Berkeley is the cutest baby! Makes me almost want one...

After lunch Peg and I went to Harwin, where we checked out a bag place (nothing too exciting) and then went to Charming Charlie's. I got 2 wooden beaded necklaces for like $15. Can't beat that!

Joe was already home when I got back. (Still no CK in the mail, dammit!). He sold his motorcycle today! I know he was a bit disappointed, but now he can get his tri bike guilt free.

We went to Osaka, this Japanese restaurant just on Westheimer, for dinner. Pretty good sushi. For dessert we baked brownies and made sundaes, complete with bananas, ice cream, whipped cream and cherries on top. I watched A History of Violence while Joe slept through most of it. It was a surprisingly short movie. I enjoyed it, but Joe thought it was dull (obviously, see above).

I'm not ready for bed yet so here I will be for probably another hour. Toodles.

Early morning

I have been sleeping better but not longer lately. Joe woke up early this morning. He's going to the lake house of someone from Triadvantage, his tri gym, with Brad this morning. He's meeting Brad in the Woodlands and they are going from there, so it sounds far. So I have the morning to myself!

I think it's funny how getting up at 5 am is much easier when I don't have to think about going to work! I was going to run, but I am sore! My goal next week is to try for yoga everyday - I bought those classes and need to use as many as possible before my surgery. We'll see how it goes. Now that it's written down, I have to do it!

I've been trying to organize my pics, but it's not working so well. I think one reason I don't scrap as much is cause my pics are all over the place and many are still digital. Need to work on that!

All for now..

Friday, March 17, 2006

My reading material and interest has definitely changed this year. I still love receiving tons of magazines in the mail (shh...don't tell Joe I may be ordering more. they are so cheap off ebay!). And I got 2 great photography books and oodles of scrapbooking books. I read more about scrapping than I actually do. I really need to change that. I think it's hard because most of my pictures are digital. I am printing some more free from Shutterfly.

ANYWAYS, to my original point. I haven't been reading as much fiction as I usually do. I'm really into this creativity thing. Maybe it's cause I'm trying to find "deeper meaning" in my life, I don't know. But I've got all this thoughts swimming in my brain - I think that's why I haven't been sleeping as well lately.

I did go to Eric's yoga class today. Enjoyed it quite a bit, because only 3 of us were there. Kind of like a semi-private session! My muscles, especially those hamstrings, were really sore and stiff from boot camp on Thursday. Need to stretch more everyday!

I've been discovered...

by Joe. I think he is very amused that I actually have a blog. I am probably the only person in the whole world who will ever read this, but it does make me a little nervous that he knows. Not that I write anything SO personal in here. Who knows, maybe one day I will just let him read it!

Today was a typical Friday at work. Busy busy and more busy. But thank goodness I have the weekend for rest! I'm getting my hair colored and cut tomorrow - totally overdue. I think I may go shorter. And also having lunch with my girls - Peggy and Trista. I need to take some more pics!

All for now. I kind of feel like scrappin'.

Love to sweat!

So I managed to motivate myself to get up and work out this morning. I got to the gym early and did some elliptical trainer before the new boot camp class with John started. We were in the parking lot for the hour and did lots of lunges, running, and squats. My legs are going to be jelly today, but I really enjoyed the class. Richard's class used to be more like this - I will definitely be coming back for more next week!

So trolling around the blogs that I read, I came across some more cool questions I'd like to think about.

WHAT WERE YOU DOING 10 YEARS AGO:I was 24 (good lord I feel old!) I was working on my Master's degree at UTA, trying to figure out what I was going to be when I grow up.

Don't forget to vote!

Ace was in the bottom 3 tonight. I can't believe it!!! That's it- gotta start voting.

I have also decided I am not doing my scrapbook for March - I want to wait until May, my birthday month! This has gotten me prepared for the work though. Now I have to pick an album!

Whew, feel less pressure about that now. Time for bed!

Wacky Houston weather

So since this weekend it's been fairly hot and humid already. In the upper 70's, lower 80's. And we have been running the AC, especially because of the humidity. But today is the house is cold cold cold - in the 60's! This Houston weather is crazy (I guess it doesn't help when your house was built in the 1920's and doesn't have the best insulation).

I actually overslept this morning. Felt kind of good. I will probably be going to yoga tonight to get some exercise in. And the new boot camp class tomorrow. Hopefully the instructor will show up!

A full moon this morning

I ran early this morning at Memorial Park (miss Cindy!!). Driving there, down Memorial, I could see the moon in the horizon. It was one big round circle. Beautiful. It's hard to capture moments like that with an ordinary camera. Like last night on my way to dinner the sun was setting and the scene from 59 was gorgeous. And this is the middle of the city. So it's possible to find beauty anywhere you live; in the city you just have to look harder.

One thing about a full moon that frightens me - we tend to get "crazy" people in our office. Let's hope I'm just imagining this!

I read through The Big Picture at least 3 times yesterday. Awesome awesome awesome book and concepts. Her layouts are nothing spectacular, but the idea behind them is. Let go of having to scrap every single event, and scrap people, moments, etc. I think the reason I have always loved taking pictures and scrapbooking is that I like to REMEMBER things. Stacy's is a good way of doing this, in no particular order. Which goes against every grain in my scrapbooking body, but which I am going to adopt because chronological order is what kills me. I'm always "behind." After Ting and John's wedding album, I'm done with that. Just scrapbook what I want, when I want. I can't wait to get started.

Here comes the mail

Today has been a good day off. I went to my dentist, Dr. Nab, for a teeth cleaning. I love that fresh feeling after they are done scrapping your teeth. Although I do my best to floss and brush beforehand. It's like having Julia come to clean. I tidy up first.

Our new table arrived shortly after I came home from the dentist. Woo hoo! It has a little scratch, but otherwise is fine. Ligne Roset should be contacting us to have it fixed.

Before I left for the g-store I got loads of goodies in the mail! Pictures from Snapfish; The Big Picture by Stacy Julian ; and treats from Create for less. Email is great for dropping someone a quick note or paying bills, but nothing beats getting something in the mail!

Whew! A day off...

...sort of. I do have a CD/Doc dinner meeting tonight, but at least I don't have to step foot into the office!

Dragged my butt to SWAT this morning. We had a good class. Only George was there to lead it, but did quite a bit of running and push-ups, my favorite (Not!).

Our table, but not sofa, should be delivered this morning. I am VERY excited about that! now off to scrap...or think about scrapping.....

Time flies when you're at Berry Hill

So yesterday, after another hellish day at work, we went to dinner with the boys (well, Marc, Darryl, Matt, Daniel, John and Darah, so not all boys) at Collina's, our favorite restaurant to eat/socialize/hang out, etc. Of course after eating lots of bread and pizza and drinking lots of wine, I am done for the night. Everyone else (Joe included) goes to Meteor and South Beach for all sorts of debauchery. I was not a happy camper and awoke too early for the amount of sleep I had.

I saw patients this morning - they all did very well. I like doing the one-days; they are always so happy. Afterwards, I made a quick run to Target and went to yoga. After yoga we did our usual breakfast at little BerryHill on Revere. I like hanging out there with everyone cause we are just talking and laughing and telling stories - just good times. We were there for over 3 hours! But little BH always leads to BH on Montrose. Apparently today was their 3 year anniversary.

The only problem is that after 4:30-5, BH just gets too crowded and annoying. I usually reach my fill at this point. We went to The Mining Company for a bit but left soon after. I am now eating some Niko Niko's while Joe has already passed out.

This can be a typical Sunday. Just out of control. I think I'm over it. But Joe is not yet, and therein lies the problem. Sigh. Getting old is such a bitch.

Saturday, March 11, 2006

The good thing about waking up so early is that I can surf to my heart's content and 1-not be interupted and 2-not feel guilty. What else am I going to do so early in the morning?

So this is a blog I have been visiting nitty.gritty This woman has an amazing story and she seems very cool. I just have to work up the balls to comment on her page. I don't know why I have a hard time reaching out to people. I don't tend to think of myself as shy, but I guess I still am in a way. Anyways, I am going to post this to see if the link works!

It works!! Too cool. Uh oh, things could get out of control here..

I need to remember to tell my patients that when you don't get enough sleep, your eyes may burn. Mine are feeling very uncomfortable right now, as is it only 4 in the morning. I have not been sleeping well this week. I don't know what my problem is. Maybe I'm thinking about things too much...

Being introspective

This bloggin' thing has been a good one for me. I haven't really kept a journal since Joe moved to Houston. I like thinking about things. Appreciating what I have. Trying not to want want want. Taking each day at a time. Life is in the details. I love travelling and doing new things, seeing exotic places. But at the end of the day, I really enjoy sleeping in my own bed!

I went to SWAT this morning. It was a good class. We did all abs and legs. I am going to be sore tomorrow! I need to start changing up my routine. I am definitely getting bored with Boot, although I feel guilty when I don't go.

Work is going to be crazy so I should get going early.

9:22 PM
The invitations for Alan and Patrick's party are done and mailed (mostly). That's one task done! Now I have to work on their scrapbook!

Today was even more stressful than Wednesday, if that's possible. I think any patient with any problems decided to come in this afternoon. Talk about high stress! I am just exhausted. Mentally drained. Time for bed.

Thursday, March 09, 2006

Too cute!

hee hee - cute doll i made of myself. silly but fun.

Awoken by my neuroses

I woke up this morning around 4:20 AM. What the hell am I doing away at 4 in the morning. is the first thing that comes to my mind. Then I try to go back to sleep, but unsuccessfully. Random thoughts running through my mind - how can I become a better....scrapbooker? wife? doctor? friend? I feel like I don't do enough in many aspects of my life - I need to do more more more! So my head is spinning with all these random thoughts until I have to drag my ass out of bed and surf, just to quiet down those voices. All I can do is my best and that will have to do...for now.

I am trying a new boot camp class at the Met. We'll see how it goes.

7:07 AM
So the instructor doesn't even show up for class! That sucks! I ended up doing just 30min on the elliptical. Oh well, that way I won't be sore for class tomorrow!

Got to pick up envelopes for Alan's invitations this morning as well as some more brads. Just an excuse to go shopping for scrap supplies :)

9:07 PM
The invitations are here and are too cute! Of course the envelopes I got were too big - am going to Bering's tomorrow - hopefully they will have smaller ones. I also didn't get brads today so will pick up some more tomorrow as well.

I still haven't gotten my BPS book. Need to email them yet again.

Today was a good day at work - busy but not super stressful, suprisingly enough. One tech did resign, which puts a wrench in the overall schedule, but I think we'll manage.

AI - the top 12 are here. Joe wants to have a contest to predict the top 5. He is so funny - I can't believe he is as into Idol as he is!

A new day....

Today will be a better day. I can feel it. The sun is shining, birds are singing - there is nothing to be blah about (or so I keep telling myself!). I think work just sometimes sucks the life out of me!! I think just seeing the volume of people I see gets tiring. I am trying to figure out how to combat that weariness. One patient at a time, I guess!

Boot camp was good today althought I feel bad because I was a little bitchy to Richard. I get that way when I'm tired, which I'm sure Joe can attest to. Definitely something I need to work on!

And I have been bad about taking pictures. More today, I promise!

8:49 PM
Ha - no more photos. The day goes by too quickly! We were crazy busy this morning, but at least the afternoon was not too bad. I am definitely not as tired as I was yesterday. I need to gear up for tomorrow - I'm sure it's going to be a madhouse!

American Idol still makes me happy. I wish it were on every night!! The boys this year are still my favorite. I like Chris (bald rocker dude), Ace (hot dude) and Taylor (personality dude). We'll see - I haven't been voting but I will probably start next week for the top 12. Yes, I am a goof.

I have a new favorite scrapbooker - her name is Elsie Flannigan and she seems so cute. It's so weird how this blogging thing can make you seem like you know someone even though you really don't! Anyways, I usually like clean and simple lines, but she has the cutest way of doodling her pictures and pages. I love it! Not really my style, but definitely inspiring.

In other exciting news, our sofa, chair and dining room table should be delivered on Monday!! Woo hoo! After months and months of waiting, we will be partially furnished. I am most excited about that. We still need to get chairs for the table - probably from C&B.

Looks like Joe's coming to bed. over and out!

Terrible Tuesdays

The Met had a new class this morning - Strength, Stamina and speed, by Allison, this cute girl with really short bleached blonde hair, who also teaches spinning. It wasn't terribly hard, especially compared to boot camp, but wasn't a bad workout either. I should start running to the Met with Joe on Tuesday mornings when I go into work late. That way I can get some more cardio in.

I need to get motivated to go the g-store here before work. As usual, we are almost completely out of food!!

8:49 PM
The day goes by so fast when work goes late. I am tired tired tired. Yet still amused by my boy. A favorites expression is "BEEEG ONES...," referring to any number of things - use your imagination.

We did cook some pasta for dinner tonight - actually cooking is a bit of a stress relief - something to concentrate on that has a finite ending. And yogurt is still our favorite dessert (well, not really, but at least it's good for you!).

What a blah day. I have a feeling tomorrow will be much the same - stress stress stress! Time to hit the hay...Over and out!

Good mornin'

The Oscars ran late, of course. I can't believe Crash won big picture instead of Brokeback Mountain. They were robbed!! That was really the only big surprise. Matt and Rob threw a fun party. I guess it should be, since the Oscar's are the "gay Superbowl," according to Marc!

So I skipped boot this morning. That's ok. We've got some new classes starting on Tues/Thurs that I am interested in trying. We'll see how they go!

Here starts my long work week - wish me luck!

8:09 PM
Another Monday over. Work was actually not too bad. It's definitely quieter when we don't have treatments going on!

So this evening Joe got the cable working and I got my scanner working. Woo hoo! That's about the excitement for the evening!

Sleepin' in

I woke up last night around 2:30AM with the worst cramps. They weren't necessarily the most painful I've experienced, but they were just SO uncomfortable that I couldn't really sleep. I did manage to fall back asleep and didn't wake up, aside from kissing Joe goodbye when he left for his morning run with Jim, until 6:30 or so this morning. I was feeling better, but as I am typing this I can feel the cramps again. This is probably the ONLY thing I really hate being a girl. I understand it's a necessary evil, but oh how I wish it weren't!!(Ha! Me and every single female on this planet!!) Since being off the pill, the cramps are definitely worse. Ugh.

Before yoga this morning, I have to see one patient. Not a big deal, but still a bit of a pain since I will be working EVERY DAY next week. Literally. Mon - Sun. Now Sun-Sun (even if Sunday is short, it's still time I have to be there. At least the week after that will be short and I have the next weekend as a three day weekend. So I will try not to complain too much!

1:17 PM
Yoga was good today. But it makes me miss Ms Cindy - Sundays aren't going to be the same!

Joe and I had leftovers for lunch and we just got done with manis and pedis. I love having polish on my toes. Makes my gross toenails look halfway decent.

I am now in the process of doing laundry, which is a never ending process at the Kachinski household. I guess working out so much adds up the laundry!

4:48 PM
We went to pick up Rowan and Queenie for A&P this afternoon. The boys are in Denver for a shower for Seth and Jill. We should be leaving for an Oscar's party this evening at Matt and Rob's. Need to change and get ready. I'm hoping that Brokeback will take it all!!

I don't know how late we'll be home so signing off for now...

Happy Saturday

I don't know what my problem is but I haven't been sleeping well at all this week. Too much on my mind, I guess. (I wonder if Aunt Dot coming to visit today has anything to do with it). Work is going to be crazy busy - we are seeing record amounts of patients. This is a good thing, to be growing, but it can be stressful as well! I have also volunteered to make a going away scrapbook for A+P for their going away and thinking about it is stressing me out. I am not sure of now I want it to go. I just bought a scrapbook (and a lot of other supplies) from one of my favorite scrappin' supply sites, Create For Less, so hopefully when I get my new toys I will be more inspired!

Joe cracks me up. He does this thing in his sleep - for whatever reason, any random night of the week, he will get up and decide he needs to put on shorts/pants/whatever. Well last night apparently he thought his tank top was a pair of shorts and put them on that way! When he woke up he thought he was wearing a skirt! What a silly boy!

I am going to drap my a$$ to the gym this morning and do a little cardio. Need to!

9:12 AM
Did my 40 minutes on the elliptical. It's not heart pounding hard, but at least it gets the blood flowing. I really need to get an MP3 player so I can be more motivated when I work out alone. Ipod Nano, here I come!!!

1:59 PM
So I almost set our house on fire this morning as I was making lunch!! I was sauting the chicken on the stove top and turned the broiler on the "lightly toast" the rolls. I sat at the computer for a couple minutes, then remembered I had the bread in the oven. When I opened it up, all I saw were flames coming from the rolls! I immediately closed the oven and turned off the power. Luckily the smoke didn't set the fire alarm off - the fires went out themselves once stopped broiling. Whew, close call!

I made chicken caccatorie subs - the rolls still got a little burnt on my 2nd go round, but no fires! They were quite tasty if I say so myself. Rachael Ray's 30 minute meals are EE Kachinski's 45-60 minute meals, from start to end. But they are getting easier!

We've got some house errands we want to run this evening. I want to fix up the bathroom and also put more hooks on all the doors.

I also talked to Cindy earlier. She seems to be settling in. Miss that girl!

8:06 PM
Aaahhh...domestic bliss. We just finished another Rachael/EE meal - Chicken with tomato and eggplant sauce. Pretty good, but I'm done with Italian.

This afternoon we ran random errands. I got the Sorry CD single at Soundwaves, we went to a couple lighting stores to look at lamps, Loew's to get some things for the bathroom and Ikea for a couple bath mats and light for the bed. Ikea was crazy - too many people! I used to like their stuff, but after looking at really GOOD furniture, Ikea stuff is definitely on the cheap side. Makes C&B look decent!

Joe is now busy putting up the towel rack. What an exciting Sat evening! :)

I didn't get to blog early this morning because I did get my butt to boot camp. Also stopped at Randall's on the way to work for cereal and doughnuts (mini ones, to share!). I love the cereal so much that I'm having a bowl for dinner right now! I will never be a waif because I love to eat too much!!

Today was a fairly uneventful day. Had lunch with Matt at Greenway Plaza. Joe had to work tonight so I get the house to myself. I need to start thinking of ideas for Alan and Patrick's going away scrapbook. So right now I'm surfing for inspiration. Be back later.

7:08 PM
I finally finished my 2006 Intentions page. Only took 2 months, but it's down and on paper. In my about me book that I started in 2003 and have only done 7 pages in. But I guess it's a work in progress, just like me. That's why I don't want to buy any more "me" type albums, since I haven't even finished this one!

I've also been doing a couple random pages in my creativity book. I'm trying to get those juices flowing. Also walked around the block and took some pics, experimented with the camera. All in all, I feel like I'm having a productive evening. Just playing and having fun.

9:32 PM

I have been scrappin, surfin, bloggin and listenin to my VH1 all-request videos. Good mix of my favorite 80's songs! I am starting to get sleepy so will probably head to bed soon.

I remember distinctly being in high school and being amazed that my parents didn't go out on Friday nights. I'm not even a parent yet and already I'm not going out on Friday nights...and lovin' it! The week is so stressful it's nice to be able to relax and do what I want (which is not much) and not have a time line or anything.

We should be getting out entertainment unit tomorrow - woo hoo!

Good night and good luck (the one Oscar movie I have yet to see).

Lazy morning

I am resting today from my 2-a-days. They definitely aren't as strenuous as Joe's work outs, but tiring nonetheless. Joe and I got in a mini-argument on whether or not he "needed" to sell his motorcycle in order to get his tri-bike. His defense was that I bought my beemer even though I didn't "need" to. Granted a BMW is a luxury, but I use it every day. Does he ride his motorcycle or would he use his tri-bike everyday? Probably not. But Joe is stubborn and will probably get one whether he really needs it or not. I guess there's not much I can do if he's using his own money!

Breakfast this morning was just oatmeal. We really need to go to the store!! Of course when I don't have any I really crave a bowl of cereal.

Julia is coming today to clean. Yeah!

8:03 AM
Just talked to Joey and he apologized for getting mad this morning. I wasn't too upset about it - but I'm glad we talked it out. Basically, he doesn't like being told what he can or can't do, which I can understand. If I let him think things over himself, he usually comes to the same decision that I do, so I shouldn't push or nag him about it. I know I'm bad about that - got it from my mom. It's one of her characteristics that I don't like so I really need to break myself of it.

That's all for now. I am in the process of tidying up the house for Julia. I find it amusing that I like to "clean" before Julia comes. Mostly I want to get our clutter out of the way for her.

6:41 PM
I love coming home to a clean house with nice piles of clean laundry ready to be put away. I wish Julia could come every week, but my wallet doesn't allow it!

The first thing I have to to when I get home (aside from finding a little snack) is take off my scrubs and jewelery. For some reason I want to be free of all adornments. And I hate having my hair in my face - up up in a little pigtail it goes!

I keep forgetting to take pictures at work - just get too busy. My lunch today consisted of a turkey sandwich with some of Matt's baked Cheetos, carrots and a yogurt. No wonder I'm starving today. The few peanut butter cookies I had this afternoon didn't cut it. I was craving pasta on my way home and what do you know, a flyer for free pasta delivery was on our fence. But I am saving my money and having soup at home instead. Joe is going to the g-store tomorrow so we can have some food! These are the things that make me think, goodness am I ready to take care of another human being???

More laters....

8:29 PM
I am starting to get tired. Haven't been sleeping as well the last couple night because of yoga too late. Hopefully won't be a problem tonight. But I do want to take a pic of me and my sweetie today. I want one of us every day this month (except when he's out of town).

I really want to be motivated to scrap but I haven't been feeling it. I should just work on my sister's wedding album to get inspiration to make one for Alan and Patrick before they leave! I was hoping the creativity class I took from Big Picture Scrapbooking would inspire me, but beside from making a cute book I didn't do anything with it. I need to find more inspiration!

A new month!

My first post for March. This blogging thing is weird and interesting to me - I've been addicted to reading posts of these people that I DON'T KNOW at all - but I like to see what they have to say. Most of it is scrapbooking-related (yes, I am a big nerd). And I like to see different peoples pages. Maybe it's the voyeur in me - I like to see what other people do with their lives. How some people can make the mundane seem fabulous. And I guess that's what I want to do with my scrapbook of March 2006. Our ordinary life. But I love it!

I had a hard time sleeping last night because yoga ran so late. And when I woke up this morning, at like 4:52 AM, I felt like I had just closed my eyes! I hate that. Joe got up around 5:20 - he went swimming with Jim this morning at the 4 seasons pool. I had a hard time finding me keys this morning - of course they were simply on the opposite side of the stove than I ususally throw them! Boot camp with Richard was good this morning. This week he has been mixing it up (i.e. not making us do 100 push-ups at one time), which has made the class better to me. Rhonda, DeeDee, Pete, Janeen, Terry, James and JJ (new girl) were there so it was a fairly full class. I need to get a picture of my boot campers!

I had my usual bowl of cereal for breakfast this morning while perusing the new Creating Garden at Two Peas. I think if I had to I could totally live on cereal. I also talked to Tinger this morning. She and John may be moving - I am keeping my fingers crossed that they come back to Texas.

And now that the sweat has dried on me and I feel so glamourous (eewww!), I am off for my morning shower. Hopefully the steam won't set off the fire alarm!

8:39 AM
My new favorite thing to make for breakfast is soft boiled eggs. With a little salt and pepper, they are yummy. Got the idea from Peggy. They are kind of like sunny side up eggs. And they have more flavor than dried hard boiled eggs. A good way for me to get my protein in the morning!

9:48 PM
Today was so bright and sunny outside I couldn't help but be in a good mood! We were busy at work but not too crazy, and the post-ops weren't too crazy, either, which helps!

Matt and I went to Berry Hill for lunch and sat outside. I had yummy grilled fish tacos. Love Berry Hill food!

After work I went straight to yoga and met Joe there. Joey showed up again as well! This is the first time I've been to two classes in a row. It wasn't too bad - in fact I improved on some things, although at the end I could tell I was getting tired.

We got home around 8:45 and since we haven't gone to the g-store in forever, we didn't have anything good to eat for dinner. So Joe made some eggs, which I ate with toast and jelly (and I can't believe it's not butter). We definitely need to get some food - I think we're even out of cereal (gasp!)!!

So tomorrow I want to take some pictures at work. I totally forgot today and it would have been great for it because we weren't slammed. Also, next house project is to finish decorating the bathroom. I want to put more hooks up and get something on the wall. That shouldn't be too hard and it's something I can control, unlike furniture from Italy or France.

Hope I can fall asleep tonight....
