TGIF

Today is good: the most beautiful weather in H-town! #fmsphotoaday
The old blog has been sorely neglected as of late. When something is a habit, it is easy to do; but once the habit is paused, sometimes getting back into it is hard. Baby steps!

Are you as glad as I am that Friday is finally here? And it's Halloween weekend - we've got some festivities to look forward to over the next week :)

October has been a fairly ordinary month. Lots of friends, family, food, fun and of course, yoga always! The temperatures have been pleasant, especially this weekend. I'm thinking I may need some more candy corn...

project life 2013 | week 36

Keeping things simple makes keeping up with this project much easier.

We were originally going to stay for the Temple burn at Burning Man on Sunday night but decided to leave that evening instead. BIG MISTAKE. Rain was in the forecast for Monday morning and everyone (at least it seems like) decided to leave the same time we did. We were basically stuck in line to leave for about 12.5 hours. And saw the Temple burn from afar anyways. Note to self: never leave Burning Man in the afternoon - always leave as early as possible, as most Burners like to sleep in ;)
{Side note: even though we were all a bit scarred from the exodus home, everyone in our camp is still planning on returning next year!}

Decompressing from the playa is always the hardest the first week. No tutus or art cars or free drinks or music in the background everywhere you turn. It can be hard! The best thing to do is dive back into work (well, that's only ok, but at least it keeps your mind distracted) and see your "camp members" in the default world. We are so fortunate to have an amazing group of people we call friends and family here.

Products used: mostly cards from Vintage Travel core kit.

#ckccbm2013 | wednesday

It's been over a month now since we returned from Burning Man but we still have playa on the brain. Joe has already bought a coat to wear for next year!

Being there all week required packing quite a bit of clothes and being imaginative with what we brought. The hot pink monster hat was a gift from my bestie at camp - so fun! And the fur coat Joe is wearing was mine, but ending up being too long for me to ride my bike comfortably, but luckily it was the perfect length for Joe!

Distrikt, a music camp/club that we went to everyday, had a black and gold themed party on Wednesday.

We all tried to get in the spirit of things and Participate!
