project life | week 7

week 7 finished spread
Valentine's week was a relatively busy one, since it also included a quick trip to Austin as well as the 12th  of the month, so I took lots of photos.

week 7 with inserts
I made 2 additional inserts to include everything.

week 7 left side
The left side of the spread was about meeting Kino, as well as Vday. I love that little card about yoga on the bottom left corner that was from Lululemon.

week 7 insert 1 frontweek 7 insert 1 back
The front and back of insert #1 which was 12 photos I took on the 12th. I cut up the instagrams to make them look like polaroids. Love how this turned out! This was also one of my 12 layouts for my 12 class.

week 7 insert 2 frontweek 7 insert 2 back
The front and back of insert #2 which were just different cards we received. I am a hoarder by nature but lately my life ephemera had just been piling up until I finally recycled or threw it away. Now I have a place to display it without having to create a whole scrapbook page. And another page for my 12 class. Love finding a place for ephemera as well as combining "assignments"!

week 7 right side
The right side of the spread. I created an enlarged photo a la KP. Instead of actually printing an enlarged photo, I cut it in half in photoshop and printed 2 4x6, which is less pricey.

Between Project Life and the 12 class I am currently taking, I have been scrapping up a storm! I am returning to this hobby with a vengeance, but I can feel myself losing steam if I am not careful. I can feel more combining of 12 and PL over the next few months.

a little run

I have finally gotten off my a$$ and started running, albeit very slow, again. I am an early morning exerciser, whether it be yoga, running, lifting weights, boot camp, whatever. So when I get serious about one thing (yoga, these days), my interest in other forms of exercise wanes.

For some odd reason, stopping the running, practicing yoga 5-6 days/week, cutting out about 85% of gluten from my diet and not eating meat has actually helped me to lose weight without even trying. But I feel like I need a bit more cardio in my life, so my goal for March will be to run 1-3 morning/week (basically on the days I don't practice). This should be a completely doable goal and writing in on the old blog will make me more accountable.

Have a great weekend!

Inspiration

02.22.12
top&boots: Anthro / cardi: Express / skirt: Loft, new / earrings&necklace: Collignon Designs / tights: Hue

I bought this skirt a few weeks ago and was unsure how to style it for "winter" until I saw Lisa wearing it and knew I wanted to copy her outfit. I seriously love everything she wears and would copy every outfit if it weren't so weird!

black flyaway cardi 02
This little knit cardi has lasted pretty well over the years I have worn it and hasn't really pilled at all. I like that.

iSmile | food edition

I have found that I like to photograph things I eat. It will be fun to see how things change over the years.

My typical breakfast consists of oatmeal, bananas and almond milk.

Soup in a bread bowl is great for a rainy day.

Post-practice coconuts are the best.

Gelato. Yums.

Not sure how it happens, but even after a full cart of groceries, sometimes it feels like we have nothing to eat!

My first attempt at Thai tofu coconut curry last night. It was ok, but missing something. Need to tweak the recipe a bit.

What did you eat last week?

I love a long cardi

02.19.12
top&jeans: Gap / cardi: Missoni for Target / shoes: Converse / sunnies: Oscar de la Renta

How is it that my 3-day weekend is already over? Work days seem to drag on forever; play days go by in a blink!

02.20.12
top&boots: Anthro / cardi: Jonathan Saunders for Target / jeans: Gap / sunnies: Oscar de la Renta

I have been a fan of Target collaborations long before the Missoni/Wu craze began. The pieces I have collected have been surprisingly well made and long lasting. And apparently I have a thing for long, hooded cardigans.
