a bit lost

Now that the Olympics are over we're not sure what to do with our time. Granted, we didn't watch this past week as religiously as we did when swimming was on, but we didn't watch to miss this event:

finally Friday

I work almost every other weekend so by the time my weekend off rolls around (which starts tomorrow  - woot!), I am physically and mentally exhausted. Add watching the Olympics evening events to actually see the results instead of reading them on the Internet makes an even more tired girl.

I made a decision this morning to skip my regular yoga practice (I know, the days I don't want to practice are the days I should really go - but I am practicing tomorrow when I normally take off so I've got it covered) and sleep in (which is about 6 AM instead of my usual 4:30 AM). I did do some cardio and now I am feeling ready to face this last day of the work week.

This bumper sticker made me smile yesterday. Will be my motto for the weekend!

Have a good one!

Go U.S.A.!

This weekend was spent working, scrapping and watching the Olympics. Although I was not uber-impressed with Danny Boyle's opening ceremony, I did love seeing the athletes from all over the world (and from countries I didn't even know existed) entering the stadium. So far, my favorite event to watch is swimming. As much as I think Michael Phelps is an incredible athlete, Ryan Lochte deserves his time now.

Almost gone

I think Spring is around the corner. It's been warm then cold and warm again here. So I am trying to take advantage of the cold weather by wearing my boots as much as possbile before sandals take over again!

02.25.10
I absolutely adore these boots I bought (on sale of course) at Loft last month. I eyed them in the fall when on our trip to NYC but didn't want to pay full price. Fortunately I found a pair left in my size on a random trip to the store and they came home with me. They fit perfectly, with or without jeans. I love the roundness of the toe and the distressing of the leather. I really would like to find a pair of black and brown flat boots to round out my collection.

Unforunately Project Runway was a repeat last night, but we still had a full house! We watched the women's figure skating instead, critiquing their every last move but holding our breaths as we watched them jump as well!

Feeling patriotic

I love watching the Olympics. The dedication, the drive, and the determination of all the athletes are so inspiring. I am usually partial to the summer Olympics but so far watching the speed skating has been supercool.

I think this Valentine's weekend is going to be dedicated to watching some super athletes!

Olympics routine

I don't remember being this interested in the Olympics last time around. Probably because we were too cheap to buy cable so we didn't get good reception on our TV. But we have been glued to the tube everyday since it started!

So this week has been pretty boring (except for craft Monday, of course!). I've been getting up, running, working, having lunch with my sis, working some more, practicing some yoga, and watching the Olympics in the evening until my eyes can't stay open anymore. Last night's 100m fly final was da bomb!I am kind of sad that tonight will be the last of the swimming, but I know Joe is excited for track and field as well as the marathon and triathlons coming up!

Olympics

started yesterday. We watched part of the opening ceremonies which were pretty cool. We just finished watching some beach volleyball and now Joe is watching cycling. I am looking forward to the swimming, track and field and gymnastics, of course.

In other random news, I am sad once again that my favorite show on TV is over for another season. The top 2 were my faves, Joshua and Twitch. And I am happy to say that Joshua won. He was such a great dancer! I can't wait to see them live in the fall (yes, I am cheesy like that!).
