Home away from home
One of my favorite places to eat here in Gokalum is Anu's.
They serve lunch and dinner and have wi-fi at a reasonable rate (10 rupees for first 30 minutes, 5 or 10 rupees for every 15 minutes after).
It's a great place to hang and chill out on a lazy day.
You leave your shoes outsides and sit on cushions on the floor.
The meals are serve yourself, family style and cost 150 rupees for all you can eat (45 rupees = 1 dollar, so about $3).
Beets, carrots and cucumber tomato salad are usually served raw.
They serve 3 different cooked vegetables, usually some sort of curry, rice and chapati (tortillas). I love their banana smoothies and chocolate pie (haven't taken good photos of those yet). At any given time I can usually find someone I know there to eat and chat with.
But what makes me smile every time I go over there?
This sign :)

Anu's is a auspicious-gem indeed(thanks for the travel tip:)!
Aww cute sign! And what looks like deliciously fresh food. I can't wait for spring and summer to roll around.
What a great place - that sign is the cutest!
