I thought I would share a bit of what goes on in my little head when I buy new clothes.
So I went shopping a few weeks ago (or was it over a month ago...time seems to be slipping away so fast this year!) and fell in love with this dress at Banana. Didn't pull the trigger because it was new and not on sale yet.
dress: Loft / cardi: Gap / shoes: Jeffrey Campbell / sunnies: Dsquared
I'm glad I didn't buy it, because shortly thereafter I realized I already had a navy polka dotted shift dress with pockets in my closet. But also realized this is probably why I loved it so.
dress: Banana, new / cardi: Target / shoes: Old Navy / earrings&necklace: Collignon Designs
A few weeks later, however, I did return to Banana and found the same dress in a different pattern, which did come home with me, thanks to a sale, rewards points and gift card. The silhouette is slightly different from the Loft dress and is just so flattering, I couldn't resist. Spring is the season when I have the hardest time not shopping because I love bright spring colors.
My uniform these days seem to be a cardi thrown over a dress. I have a feeling that sweater days are almost over here in Houston so I better take advantage while I can!

That blue dress you got in the end is beautiful! The shot pattern to it is so vibrant and fun, what a good buy!

Heheheh I love how you wait for the sale! Just like me!
So smart to wait for a sale! I love the fit of the dress. It's so pretty and very flattering.
I like the Loft dress a lot. I usually wait for a sale too.
The first dress is cute, but you're right. It's very similar to the one you already own. I like the one you ended up with though! The color is very rich and it still retains that flattering dress up/dress down ability. You look so great in bright colors, I can see why you're drawn to them!
I dig the cardi over a dress look!
