Easy dressing

05.22.12
dress: Banana / shoes: Old Navy / sunnies&bag / Gucci

Some days, hell, most days, I don't want to think about what I am going to wear to work. And dresses make that easy.

dress: J. Crew / shoes: Tory Burch / sunnies&bag: Gucci / necklace: Loft

I did make an effort to accessorize a bit more yesterday, as well as wear my new flats!

Neimans was offering a GC for every certain dollar amount you spend and since Revas rarely go on sale, I thought I would take advantage and treat myself for my birthday.

They are a fun pattern and are neutral enough to pair with many things. For the first wearing they were also pretty comfortable. These days I am rarely wearing heels to work (because of yoga, but more on that later) so investing in good flats are a must. The two pair I wear the most are starting to fall apart so I figured it was time.

I think I paid about $25 for this dress at a consignment store, which I though was a bit pricey for a pre-worn garment, but I have been getting some good use out of it. I'm not sure how old the dress is, but J. Crew does make some good clothes!

What a versatile dress.

Ooh that blue dress and silver bag just make my heart sing. I nearly never find J.crew while thrifting. I'm pretty sure no one ever give it up until it's fallen to pieces. Your LGD has certainly been a good companion for remixing.

Also cute flats! Sometimes you just gotta take the plunge on those pieces that never go on sale.

I just adore your outfit composites. You do a fabulous job of showing different ways to style certain items!

I like the Revas. I don't wear heels often, and the Revas seem like they would be a good alternative to heels for work.

J. Crew puts dates on their clothes - if you look at the tag where the laundering instructions are listed you can find the season and date the item is from. For example, "FA 09" for Fall 2009. I'm not sure when they started doing that but most J. Crew clothes I've seen are dated. It may be interesting to see how long your dress has held up! I know the Gap/Banana Republic family of stores does this as well...

Nicely done - my fave is with the pink polka dot cardi.

I think that dress is worth every penny of $25 and lots more. The gorgeous color and classic styling will always be in style. I covet, I mean, love it ;P
