weekend lens | springing forward

Things have been quiet this year in the K household, but I don't mind so much. I like to think of myself as a homebody-who-enjoys-the-little-things-in-life.

That's one big pizza!
On Friday night we ate a giant pizza (and some apps) with S&H. This is our 3rd dinner with them this year; I'm thinking we're making it a monthly event :)

The closest I will be to the rodeo this year
The Houston Rodeo is going on right now. We go every few years, but it's not really my cup of tea. So this is about as close as I am going to get to it!

Delicious vegan tamales
Dinner on Saturday was at Radical Eats, a delicious vegetarian Mexican place. I had a spinach and corn as well as butternut squash tamale. Yums!

Today was a productive-get-stuff-done-around-the-house kind of day. Waking up was a bit more difficult - the sky was darker than normal this morning!

Lovely art by one of my two dear nephews in my favorite color!
We finally hung up a piece of art created by JJ. Love the color! (I also cleaned out the closet, but that's a story for another post.)

Why does getting caught up on #projectlife create such a mess?!?
As a reward for cleaning the closet I made another mess (which I eventually cleaned up as well).

Picture worthy dinner
Sunday dinner was cooked at home: tofu veggie pad thai with kale and beet salad. Definitely thought the food was picture-worthy.

Golden hour #latergram
Enjoyed another sunset with the hubs. Working is not always fun but it makes the weekends all that much sweeter.

Mm delicious looking food, happy friends, good life! The tamales sound heavenly. I need to try tamales at new places, the place I used to get them makes them way too spicy now. Butternut squash tamale sounds like it would be so good.
