Learning to let go

09.03.11
top&pants: Anthro, remix'd
shoes: Dolce Vita for Target
necklace: Collingnon Designs, gift'd&remix'd
belt: Gap, remix'd

This outfit was worn a couple weeks ago to my hair appointment (notice the obvious roots, which are now gone).

I am finally beginning to realize that IT IS OK to blog outfits that I didn't wear that exact day, to talk about things other than the clothes I am wearing and to not worry about posting everyday.

Like my yoga practice, I am learning to let go and not worry about some things quite as much. Blogging is one of my hobbies and I thoroughly enjoy it, most of the time but sometimes taking a step back can actually be beneficial and recharge your batteries.

My shoulder is still sore but better. I went to the doctor last week and he said I didn't hurt anything major. I just really need to listen to my 40-year-old body (ugh!) and understand that maybe it wasn't meant to do some things. I plan on practicing yoga the rest of my life so it's ok to take it easy sometimes.

Glad you are taking it easy and feeling more relaxed. I think a lot of bloggers don't post outfits of the day on the day -- I used to, but now I don't.

OMG I never did, most of the outfits I post are from like weeks ago LOL!! I sometimes get really overwhelmed with blogging but I have to just remember it's supposed to be fun and a hobby. No one is pressuring me but me!

I'm totally with you - its much more down to earth (and less stressful!) when you dont feel the pressure to blog but do it because you want to. That being said, I think this outfit is so cool. that shirt is awesome, and all the colors go so well together. You look very at ease in it.
and glad to hear you didn't do serious damage to your shoulder!

I like those pants. They look really comfortable, but still stylish.

No way you are 40! You look fabulous! This is a very cute outfit, even if it's not the one you are actually wearing today :)

You're right, you don't have to post an outfit the same day you wear it.

I'd love to get into yoga. It sounds so energizing, and I think I hold too much stress in my muscles. Any tips for beginners? Ha--you could take your outfit photos doing your favorite poses. :)

You look really cute - a good reminder of why so many people like Anthropologie.

I used to post the day of...but instead I actually do a week later. I don't think anyone realizes the difference. :)

Oh my goodness, what a cute outfit. I love the top and trousers so much. The pieces are perfectly paired. I also love the sandals, they're new right?

I don't think that you need to always wear the exact outfit on the exact day. I have a rough 2-3 window. Longer than that and I'll feel awkward, but sometimes life happens or you get behind. I also think going too long between makes me missed the connection with the outfit and the comments. But that's personal preference in how you connect.

My blog life stress level decreased a 100-fold when I got over the "have to blog everyday" deal - totally, blog when you want to, about what you want to!

Yeah, almost all of my outfit posts are super old. I'm VERY impressed that you've held out this long. :)

Also, I love hearing about your yoga experiences and revelations. Now that I'm practicing more often, I'm noticing such massive changes in my psyche.
