layer up | long over long

{Sorry, I am a day behind on the challenge. The cleanse has me a bit off schedule, but more on that later}

all items remix'd
top: Anthro
cardi: Target
skirt: Old Navy
shoes: Geox
earrings: Collignon Designs, gift'd

I bought this maxi skirt last summer thinking I would wear it all the time because it is super comfortable. Then I realized Houston heat is not cut out for large amounts of dark fabric. I think I did a good job of dressing the skirt up for work but it's funny how petite I look in this photo! For the record, I am 5'6", which is pretty tall for an Asian chick.

Day three of the cleanse: Besides drinking the lemonade all day, the other things you drink are a laxative herbal (senna) tea before bed and a 32-ounce salt water flush in the morning. And you want to have easy access to a restroom while the flush does its job. The whole point of the MC is to clean your body of toxins (hence the name, I suppose!). I have been drinking close to 88 ounces of the lemonade each day so far and I am hungry but not starving. I just feel a bit tired by the end of the day.

On the flip side, the scale has dropped 3 pounds since I started; I am curious to see how much weight I will end up losing and how much will come back once I start eating regular food again. Only 7 more days to go...

I love the lace over the pink, and the "bare" arms. You look lovely!

Good luck with the cleanse! :)

Such a great outfit! I have always been a fan of longer hemlines and you just can't go wrong with a classic black maxi. Adding that bright pop of pick was a great touch!

I LOVE the effect of the pink with black lace and bare arms. I don't think you look short at all. I think you look very long and lean. Also you're taller than I am.

I haven't heard very good information about the MC, tbh. It does have a lot of press cropping up everywhere right now, though. I think I'd rather keep my toxins than being more hungry and tired.

I don't think it makes you look short, I think it makes you long and lean!
