We took a quick trip up to Lake Livingston with some friends over the weekend.
The drive up is actually fairly scenic for Texas.
We stayed at our friend EJ's lake house.
Being in the water is a great way to escape the summer heat.
Good food and good friends are always a great way to spend the weekend.
A storm blew through on Saturday night with 70mph winds. Unfortunately one of EJ's friends boats and jet skis got destroyed because of the storm. Fortunately he had insurance to cover it. Which makes me glad to know generous friends who own lake houses but not to own one myself - they are a lot of work!

Aw man how cool! Hope everyone was safe and the only damage was to the insured stuff.
Looks like you guys had so much fun relaxing and just hanging out.
