some cuteness for the day

It's no secret that my nephews are my heart. Being an aunt is one of the favorite roles of my life. J is now 3 (!!!) and talking so much and just such a sweet sweet boy.


DD is almost 2 (!!!), starting to talk more, as stubborn as his mama and auntie, and cute as a button. Unfortunately his stubborn streak leads to lots of photos like this, but that's ok too. I just want to bottle them up!

  And as much as I love my iPhone for the fun moments it captures as well as the convenience it gives me, nothing beats the quality of the photos from my big camera. I need to remember to use it more often.

I received some happy mail which made my Monday all the better. One was a gift from audreybella that I won off her blog. Thank you thank you thank you! And next year be prepared to see more posts like this with my Project Life pages.


And no daily album would be complete without my two loves - JJ and DD. I sweat they are cuter and cuter every day!

I realize many of my pages have been non-holiday related and I am ok with that. I like that this album is making me stop to think about the day and what story I want to tell.

Week in photos

My nephews were out of town the previous week, so this past week was full of babies!


Cuteness.


JJ is definitely starting his "terrible twos," but then he has moments like this. Look at those dimples!

Baby buddha is 8 months old already! I can't believe how fast time is flying. Pretty soon these monthly photos will be harder and harder to take because he won't be sitting still anymore.


Prepping for JJ's birthday party.


I can't believe this boy is already two (well, on the 27th, but who's counting). His parents' threw him an amazing fire truck themed party, complete with a live fire truck as well as an edible one.


And I can't forget my other cutie. We took a quick road trip to Austin on Saturday night to practice yoga with Tim Miller on Sunday as well as hang out in Austin for the day.

Observations for the week:

Buying a pumpkin always signifies the beginning of fall for me. I like our matching set.


Baby J hasn't gotten as much picture love since Baby Buddha has come along. This is because he barely sits still enough for me to get a clear photo more than anything else.


The hubs and I ate dinner out the night before he left. Hurry home sweets, I am still missing you!


The weekend was full of babies. My sis and her husband went to San Antonio for a quick getaway and enlisted my mom, myself and my dad to help watch the kiddos while they were gone.


This little boy (almost!) is really the sweetest almost 2-year-old around.


On Saturday we took the babies on a walk to visit a nearby pumpkin patch. I didn't get nearly as many photos as I would of like because it started to rain. We were so happy for the rain that getting soaked wasn't a big deal; luckily the stoller kept the babies dry.


Does he not have the sweetest face or what? I know I may be biased, but I have a feeling both he and his brother are going to be heartbreakers when they grow up.

I gotta give kudos to all you mothers out there. Taking care of babies is much more difficult on a 24-7 basis. I think my mom and I were more happy to see their parents than they were!

{Last two} Week in photos

September has gone by in a whirlwind! Some observations from the past two weeks:


I am a crazy stalker and wanted to see if Target had products out the day before the big release. Nothing.


By the time I got there on Tuesday it was as if Nothing had been on the racks! Except that lonely lone hanger.


Baby J is super excited about his new Crocs. Although they are not his favorite color (orange), they come pretty close.


My first Third Thursday ladies night out with some yoga peeps and meeting some other nice chicas. Making new real-life friends is always a good thing.


Deadmau5 at Verizon. He is one of the hubs' current favorite DJs. We had to leave the show early because we had an early morning flight out.

We stayed at Chautauqua in the cutest little cottage.


If you look closely you can see the moon! The sky was unbelievably clean and crisp.

DD's half birthday was last week but we didn't have an opportunity to snap a pic until today. He is just such a cutie.

I am always impressed that our Costco runs include more fruits and veggies and less things in a box.

Observations for the week:

"Po-po" (grandma in Chinese) loves her baby buddha. Can those eyes be any bigger?


Baby J is still the cutest 22 months old around. And why is it easier for babies to say "no" instead of "yes?"


The days are definitely getting shorter which makes for nice sunset bokeh.


We have a fun group of friends.


During our led class on Friday, Yannis played Sharath doing the count. I miss India.


The large tree in our yard thinks fall is coming even though it still feels like summer. (We did get some much needed rain last night and tonight though - woo hoo!)


I still need to perfect action shots of the hubs on his bike.
