that time again

I don't think I will ever become tired of watching amazing dancers and wishing I could dance like that!

Week in photos (+ an extra outfit)

Summer is not officially here yet, but you would never know from the temperatures here in Texas! It is hot hot hot! This was a week of just normal, everyday life.


JJ was having a moment after coming home from camp on Monday. Dog is his favorite stuffed animal.


On Tuesday I walked from my hotel to Whole Foods to pickup dinner and lunch for the next day. The 15 minutes outside each way felt like a sauna!


I made it home in time on Wednesday to watch my favorite summer show. Cat Deeley is my idol and I want to be her when I grow up. Did you see that fabulous pink dress she was wearing?!?


I absolutely adore Buddha's steel blue eyes. I thought all Asian spawn would have brown eyes but apparently I was wrong.


Buddha turned 3 months old on Friday, but he was sleeping by the time I came over. So his 3 month photo will be coming up next week!


Going to a work-wedding on Saturday was made better by an open bar and photo booth. Joe's ex-co-worker, in the middle here, married off his oldest daughter. Smiles were everywhere.


After running errands today we treated ourselves to a summer favorite: TCBY. Nothing tastes better than cold yogurt on a hot day!

Back in business

I feel so behind! Currently I am watching my favorite show of the summer...So You Think You Can Dance! I have really been enjoying the format this year - new dancers paired with "All Stars" makes for fabulous dances! I think my favorite is Alex, the ballet dancer.

I really want some more pencil skirts, but don't really need any. I decided to substitute this skirt instead. My favorite part is the pockets of course. And I also am in dire need of a haircut. I guess it's nothing a little more hair product can't fix for now!

15 minutes

We have a bad habit of letting our clutter take over the house so I have decided to take 15 minutes every day to clean it up! So far I have cleaned up our living room/kitchen and most of my stuff on our work table. Hopefully this will last!

And because I hate posting sans photos, I am so happy this is starting again!

Olympics

started yesterday. We watched part of the opening ceremonies which were pretty cool. We just finished watching some beach volleyball and now Joe is watching cycling. I am looking forward to the swimming, track and field and gymnastics, of course.

In other random news, I am sad once again that my favorite show on TV is over for another season. The top 2 were my faves, Joshua and Twitch.And I am happy to say that Joshua won. He was such a great dancer! I can't wait to see them live in the fall (yes, I am cheesy like that!).

I wish I could dance

We had a FABULOUS time last night watching SYTYCD live! They are too cute and it makes me wish I were 15 again! They performed many of our favorite dances and some new ones as well. Now I wish the new season would start soon...

The dancing is over...

and I am most sad! Cute little Sabre won over Danny, Neil and Lacey. I can't believe it! Now we have to wait until November to see more dancing!

We are so cheesy

So Joe got us, Darah and Marc some tickets to the SYTYCD (So You Think You Can Dance) show coming in November. I'm sure we will be the oldest people there who aren't parents! My love for the dancing outweighs my embarrassment of wanted to see the dancing, so here we go!

Benji won!

I kind of figured he would. He was definitely my favorite from the beginning. Who? Benji Schwimmer of So You Think You Can Dance! I am very sad the show is over. And even sadder that the tour is not coming to Houston! What a travesty!
