finally Friday

DD just celebrated his official 3rd birthday on Monday. I can't believe my babies are 3 and 4 now! DD still has a bit of baby about him but JJ is all little boy these days. I still seriously adore these 2 little boys.

I broke down and bought these mini Project Life kits at -gasp- full price because I really want the Amy Tan kit and buying more would get me free shipping. 

Happy Spring! We are still adjusting to the time change, but are really enjoying the longer days. 

This week has felt especially long and I am super thankful for a long weekend. Enjoy yours!

Happy May

May is one of my favorite months of the year. Spring in in full force, temps are warm but not unbearably hot, the day are becoming longer.

May is also when we celebrate our anniversary as well as my birthday. So what's not to love ;)?!

So technically it was still winter when this photo was shot, but here in H-town winter is warm :)
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love and adore my sis. She is my bestie, a wonderful mom and fabulous friend. Every year she goes all out for birthday parties for her sons, cuties whom I also adore. She is lucky in that their birthdays fall in months where being outside is actually nice and not boiling hot.

We are celebrating the new season by going to the snow. Tomorrow we leave on a ski trip with some friends. So overdue for a vacation. Posting may or may not occur. Have a good one!

I'm loving the extra daylight we are now receiving. I'm loving that spring is almost here. The sun is bright, sky is clear, all is good. I'm also loving that I am almost feeling 100% again. Allergies seem to be subsiding (knock on wood). Just a little pain in the glute but nothing that's unmanageable.


Love this neon pink skirt and am thinking it is going to get a ton of wear this spring/summer. I have slowly been doing the Great Closet Purge of 2013 and hoping to get rid of things that I have been wearing and/or don't love.


This olive cardi has proved to be surprisingly versatile and lasted through many different hair cuts. Guess it will be a keeper!

Springing forward

Having longer days is always something good to look forward to, but losing an hour is not! Suffice it to say that early morning yoga practice is not happening today since my body still thinks it's about 4:45 am right now and not at all ready to contort itself into bendy positions...

Being able to wear bright fun colors this spring is also another thing to look forward to. None of the pieces I am wearing were bought at the same time or even the same year (even though most were from the same store!), but they come together nicely.


I have discovered that short sleeved cardis are a must for layering in warmer weather.

Spring

In lieu of working out this morning, I opted to take a walk around our neighborhood and take some spring photos. Living in th city gives us few options of "nature" but I did find some prettiness (and some character) around the 'hood.

Capturing a smell

The temperature outside is about 50degrees and it feels very very chilly. But the jasmine or something must be blooming because the air smells so sweet! I wish I could capture the smell in a photo, but since I can't I just wanted to jot it down so I don't forget.
