Work is going to be insanely crazy today. I'm just trying to catch my breath before I go in! At least I have the weekend off - woo hoo! I just gotta keep thinking about that....
midnight..
work wasn't as bad as I anticipated. But I am just now finishing up A&P's scrapbook. It's about 95% done. Still need something for a couple pages in the middle as well as a title. Otherwise I am fairly pleased with how it turned out.
My jaw is killing me right now. I bit into an ice cream sandwich that was too hard and now chewing hurts the left side of my jaw. Hopefully it will get better by tomorrow!
I am getting sleepy...must go to bed soon....

6-8 weeks!!
So I had a pre-op with my doc this morning to do blood work to make sure I'm not preggers (ha!). He said I probably won't be able to run for at least 6-8 weeks! And by run that also means no boot camp, swat or yoga!! This is really going to suck! I guess I'll be going on a diet.
So what that means for me now is to get as much in as possible! I think I will go for a run tomorrow morning...
Mysore was good tonight. I was debating going, but then thinking that I won't be able to after next week... just do it!!
Tomorrow is going to be a crazy day at work. Over 60 eyes!! That's a record for us. And after I must finish A&P's scrapbook. I may actually scan it to the computer as well, for my own records.
That's all for now. Almost time for bed (after I read all my blogs)

Too busy to blog
I have not been motivated to blog lately. Just too many things going on with work and working out and scrapping. I guess that's a good thing!
Our cable seems to be working better now. Hopefully we're done with the drama.
Tonight to Richard's for another AI party. Woo hoo. I guess yoga will wait until tomorrow...

Motivation
I found a cool new blog from Rhonna Farrer. She does this 21 day Art journal challenge where you use a journal to create a new habit or kick an old one. I'm getting the nerve to start it, but as usual I will probably procrastinate. That's what I really need to work on!!

Monday already?!?!?
My run this morning felt good. Get the blood pumpin'. Should have done that yesterday!
This week shouldn't be as crazy as work since we don't have any procedures until Friday. Friday will be all craziness, but hopefully today will be a bit less stressful....
Joe and sofa today - woo hoo!
8:09 PM
Yoga was good this evening. My shoulders are sore!!
Our new sofa is too fabulous! I love it!! It's been so long that I didn't remember what the fabric would be like, but the mohair (yes, it is the hair of a 'mo - hee hee) is so soft. Totally worth the wait!

Missed a day!
What a hectic weekend. Yesterday I was at work all day - I guess last night I assumed I had blogged in the morning. Anyways, after work I came home and tried to nap, but that usually doesn't work for me. So I surfed as well as scrapped! I got my 2005 year-in-review layout done as well as started on A&P's album.
Madonnarama was at SoBe last night so I went with Marc, Richard, Michael D., Darryl, Matt, Johnny from Dallas and Joe. The music was so fun, but of course they didn't really play her cool club mixes until I was exhausted and hot and had to go home. Darryl walked me home around 2 AM.
My phone rang this morning at 6AM so needless to say I didn't get very good sleep. After seeing patients from 8-9:30 I debated going to yoga, but my hangover told me I probably shouldn't be upside down. So I came home and worked on their album until noon, when I met Marc and Michael at little Berry Hill. More people joined and I didn't leave until 5! So nothing much got done today, but it was such a beautiful day, I didn't want to waste it inside! Unfortunately I think I got a little burned on my arms.
So I have gotten some more pages as well as planning done with their album. It's coming together pretty nicely. But I wish I had various pictures in different sizes. Oh well, I just don't have that kind of time! I like doing gift albums, though. They are fun and have an ending. I got some mini album kits from Create for less and I think I will make ones for Ann, Annie and Ree when I see them in August!
I am about to fall over from exhaustion. Tomorrow Joe comes home! Yeah! Our couch gets here! Yeah! I plan on running in the morning (too tired for boot or swat) and yoga in the evening. Over and out.

Friday already!?!?!
I can't believe how fast time goes by. It's almost the end of March. This year is almost 25% over. Good lord, can it slow down some?!?!?
It is like 40 degress outside. WTF???? I thought spring was supposed to be here and it's colder than it has been in a long time. Needless to say I was not inspired to get up and run in the cold. Maybe tomorrow (ha!). Instead, I'm organizing pics and thinking of things to scrap. I am going to do 3 year-in-review layouts based on the ones I've seen from DD's class in BPS. I've done all my Christmas card layouts. So technically I will be "caught up!" But I would really like to do an album for our China trip (that's what I can use that red album I bought from Create for less for). But first I need to finish A&P's book. That's the project for this weekend!
I guess I should go get ready for work...

Mysore
..was a great class tonight. Yannis showed me a lot of things and what I need to do to help fix my yoga and get better. I really enjoyed it. Now I have to practice!
The only thing with yoga this late is that I have a feeling I will have a hard time sleeping tonight. Since it's so cold I will probably skip running tomorrow morning and just go to yoga after work. So I will be able to "sleep in" if I can't fall asleep!

Another day...
Joe and the boys are off to Miami today for his "5th annual bachelor party." I have mixed feelings about it. He loves to go so of course I can't stop him. But goodness, it's A LOT of partying and money!! I guess once a year is not too bad. But I'm also thinking this is probably the last year so I don't want to burst his bubble. He will be gone until Monday (when we get our sofa delivered!!!!). I have to work this weekend so it won't be too bad. I will also need to work on A&P's scrapbook which I really haven't touched since Monday. Marc did help me with some quotes on Tuesday so I think it will be coming together.
Boot camp with John this morning was good. Not as tough as last week. Apparently every one was mega sore from all those lunges we did. I remember being tired but not so sore. I think doing yoga helped.
I have a feeling today is going to be another crazy day at work. Actually everyday through Sat will be crazy. Makes the day go by..

Chicken Little is gone!
Thanks goodness!! I couldn't stand watching him sing, although he seems like a sweet kid. But definitely no American Idol. Now I must decide my top 5 for our game....
Work was all craziness today. Only 5 minutes for lunch and I stayed late so no yoga :(
Tomorrow I am going to mysore - I am a little nervous about it...

Waiting
I took my car to the shop and am waiting for them to tell me it's done. Fingers crossed. Don't need to be at work until 10 so hopefully they will be able to finish it by then!
Boot camp was pretty good today. Not an ass-kicker, but good to get the blood pumpin. I hope yoga will go better tonight!
We had a little get together at Richard's place last night. He lives in the cutest 4-plex. It would be a great place to buy as investment property! He cooked barbeque chicken, beans, corn on the cob and mac and cheese. Yummy! And of course I had two helpings of Darryl's banana pudding. I had to roll out of there by the time AI was over! I think Bucky must go today.
I was going to write something and now I've forgotten...senior moment. Hate those.

Warm up
..before you go to yoga in the mornings! So it's my 3rd day in a row to do. Since Richard is having a little get together for AI this evening, I thought I would try out the morning class. It was fine, just shorter. But the room was freezing and I never really felt warmed up. My muscles were still sore from yesterday. I need to remind myself to do at least 5-10 minutes of warm up before class, just to get the blood pumpin'!
It's back to the grind today. At least I have 2 more hours to goof off!
Trend alert: almost every single store I went to last night - vintage looking tees. Everywhere!

Yay!

Got my new CK today. The image is not uploading properly so I'll try again later. Time to enjoy the day off and read!
...later. still got allowing me to post image...hmmmm what's going on???
well, it seems like it may be just that picture it's having trouble with. I uploaded my new PINK t-shirts just fine!
i have already perused the mag once and did fall asleep for a bit. a necessary nap after my two-workout day. (SWAT and yoga). my goal is to go to yoga every day this week. tomorrow will be at 6:30 am, wed 7 pm, thurs 7pm for mysore (i'm a little nervous about this one, but since we don't get out of work until 6, i have no choice!) and fri 5:30 pm with eric. I wonder who teaches the early morning class - i heard it's not yannis. i'll find out tomorrow.
joe and i are going to the galleria tonight for some shoppin' and hair stylin' (he is). should be fun (when is shopping not fun?!?!?).
Run run run
SWAT was a great class this morning. George led the advanced group and we did a lot of runnning. I think I was sandbagging a bit, in anticipation of going to yoga, but overall I had a great workout. It's a good way to start the day!
Yesterday was a good scrappin' day. Did pretty much all of my Christmas cards from years past. I only have 2 pics left, one of Mo, Chris and Ethan, and one of Maria and Michael, which don't necessarily have to be scrapped as Christmas cards. I am really liking The Big Picture philosophy. It's taking eons for the chronological scrapper in me to let go, but it's happening, albeit slowly! Having this blog has also helped with my journaling. I find the more I write, the easier it gets. Go figure!
I am a sweaty mess so I should go a shower...

Another early morning
Joe woke me up early since he had to get up to meet Jim to run the Seabrook 1/2 marathon. I, on the other hand, am going to be lazy until it's time for yoga. I just am not motivated to run.....
I get on these weird obsessive kicks when I think about things. After briefly looking at bags with Peg yesterday I am on my online kick again. But I need another bag like I need a hole in my head. What I should have done is bought that Marc Jacobs bag from Saks when it was on sale for $300. Still pricey, yes, but at least it's real. The guy wanted that much for a fake Chanel bag! So next time...(but do I really need a pink MJ bag. of course not. would i like it? well that's a different question.)

Why does it have to end?

Saturdays, that is. It was a good day. I spent the morning at Target, Barnes and Noble and Old Navy before getting highlights with Luis and David at Tova's. Then I met Peggy and Trista for lunch at Andre's. Had a yummy spinach quiche. Laura brought Berkeley over later on. We had a great time just catching up. Berkeley is the cutest baby! Makes me almost want one...
After lunch Peg and I went to Harwin, where we checked out a bag place (nothing too exciting) and then went to Charming Charlie's. I got 2 wooden beaded necklaces for like $15. Can't beat that!
Joe was already home when I got back. (Still no CK in the mail, dammit!). He sold his motorcycle today! I know he was a bit disappointed, but now he can get his tri bike guilt free.
We went to Osaka, this Japanese restaurant just on Westheimer, for dinner. Pretty good sushi. For dessert we baked brownies and made sundaes, complete with bananas, ice cream, whipped cream and cherries on top. I watched A History of Violence while Joe slept through most of it. It was a surprisingly short movie. I enjoyed it, but Joe thought it was dull (obviously, see above).
I'm not ready for bed yet so here I will be for probably another hour. Toodles.
Early morning
I have been sleeping better but not longer lately. Joe woke up early this morning. He's going to the lake house of someone from Triadvantage, his tri gym, with Brad this morning. He's meeting Brad in the Woodlands and they are going from there, so it sounds far. So I have the morning to myself!
I think it's funny how getting up at 5 am is much easier when I don't have to think about going to work! I was going to run, but I am sore! My goal next week is to try for yoga everyday - I bought those classes and need to use as many as possible before my surgery. We'll see how it goes. Now that it's written down, I have to do it!
I've been trying to organize my pics, but it's not working so well. I think one reason I don't scrap as much is cause my pics are all over the place and many are still digital. Need to work on that!
All for now..

Non-fiction
My reading material and interest has definitely changed this year. I still love receiving tons of magazines in the mail (shh...don't tell Joe I may be ordering more. they are so cheap off ebay!). And I got 2 great photography books and oodles of scrapbooking books. I read more about scrapping than I actually do. I really need to change that. I think it's hard because most of my pictures are digital. I am printing some more free from Shutterfly.
ANYWAYS, to my original point. I haven't been reading as much fiction as I usually do. I'm really into this creativity thing. Maybe it's cause I'm trying to find "deeper meaning" in my life, I don't know. But I've got all this thoughts swimming in my brain - I think that's why I haven't been sleeping as well lately.
I did go to Eric's yoga class today. Enjoyed it quite a bit, because only 3 of us were there. Kind of like a semi-private session! My muscles, especially those hamstrings, were really sore and stiff from boot camp on Thursday. Need to stretch more everyday!

I've been discovered...
by Joe. I think he is very amused that I actually have a blog. I am probably the only person in the whole world who will ever read this, but it does make me a little nervous that he knows. Not that I write anything SO personal in here. Who knows, maybe one day I will just let him read it!
Today was a typical Friday at work. Busy busy and more busy. But thank goodness I have the weekend for rest! I'm getting my hair colored and cut tomorrow - totally overdue. I think I may go shorter. And also having lunch with my girls - Peggy and Trista. I need to take some more pics!
