You came and left in a hurry. 2009 is halfway over...aacck!
Yesterday I did go to the grocery store. The rest of the day was spent at the Galleria with Greg. We met Bernie for lunch. And we didn't really buy anything but window shopping can be fun too!I am so happy this is a short work week - I am looking forward to the 4th of July weekend where we will be spending time with them:

TGIM
and I don't have to work! I am working up the energy to go to the grocery store before my shopping date with Greg this afternoon. So alas, I think yoga will have to suffer a bit, but I am not thinking downdogs are going to feel to good today.
After a long day of work I got dressed up to meet Princess, T-Bone, M, C, JB and Coupon to celebrate Coupon's bday.I have had this dress for almost 10 years, haven't worn it in at least 6 or 7 but still love it. So what is old is new again! (Especially when paired with new fabulous shoes!)Dinner was at Soma, a new sushi place on Washington.Coupon and Princess looked relaxed and tan from their recent trip to Cabo.
After dinner (and 2 bottles of wine for 3 girls and countless bottles of Sake for the boys and M) we hung out by the bar and checked out a new club called Nox.I love that T-bone can be such a goofball. The club had a cool space but, I think at 38 I am over it. We are over it. Except for Coupon! So he and JB stayed while the rest of us went to Club Rue to eat some of his tasty birthday cake!
After cake Princess and I met our boys at EJ's house to catch the rest of Pride weekend. For some reason I wasn't in the photo taking mood so I didn't get any snaps of EJ's fabulous house...next time!
Yesterday I did manage to wake up, see patients for 1 hour, grab some coffee and practice yoga. I also visited Ruby and picked up my scrap crap at Tingaling's place (I think I need to come up with a fancy nickname for their house...any ideas?). Then I met Richie and Marc at 1308 Cantina for some brunch. I had a yummy breakfast taco and only 1 of these:Michael Douglas not the actor, CLJ, and Jason met us there as well. And our pal Greg hooked us up poolside with his friends Scott and Rusty. They have an amazing house in Montrose with a great salt-water pool! This was the only photo I took all day, but pretty much represents what we were doing all day...chillin' by the pool. I REALLY would like a house with a pool - these hot summer days can be unbearable!
Well, I guess I should go be productive now...laters!

Baby's it's miserable outside
I think I may just give up on running this summer. The thermometer read 82degrees this morning at 5 AM!! 5 AM! By the time I had finished 1 loop around Memorial I was sweating like no tomorrow - and the sun was not even out! This is ridiculous!

A sad day

Baby it's hot outside!
My car thermometor read 104 degrees...good grief, H-town is supposed to be hot because of humidity, not hot because of scorching heat! Just walking outside feels miserable!
I just got back from the dentist - unfortunately I am going to need a crown in that tooth so I am getting it fixed tomorrow. Blah!

Annoying
I just chipped part of my tooth (last molar in back, I think it's a crown or something). Ugh! I was hoping to hold off major dental work until next year (didn't put enough $$ in flex) but I guess this needs attention asap. So annoying!
Recovering
The reason we drove to Austin over the weekend was for me to attend a yoga clinic with David Swenson and for Joe to practice cycling on hills. We both had excellent workouts. I practiced mysore for about 1 hour and 45 minutes and then attended a 3- hour inversion workshop, where we did lots of downward facing dogs, shoulder/head stands, camel poses and back bends. We weren't practicing the whole time, but it was still quite a workout.
Needless to say, I was extremely sore yesterday. I did some light cardio and practiced mysore again because I didn't want to forget what I had learned. And today I did about 1 hour of cardio. My legs are actually feeling a little better and hopefully tomorrow will be even better.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T
I don't mind people being late for their appointments. That's fine. Whatever. But please respect my time when you are late, ok? Thank you!
Today is going to be a better day
Yesterday wasn't a bad one, I was just in a funk. Must be the hormones ;)
I have already worked out, stretched, made the bed, showered, made a smoothie, started the dishwasher, gone grocery shopping, blow dried my hair, put on my make-up, read my blogs, updated facebook, uploaded photos, and updated this thing. All before 9:15 AM. Too bad all my productivity goes down the tube when I get home from work!
Now I have to look forward to this drive:Again, better attitude today will bring a better day!

Slow morning
I was not feeling motivated this morning for running...so I didn't. Instead I slept some more and then had some bfast with the hubs. He is off to a mega-morning swim and I am still being lazy :). At least I have yoga tonight!
I think today is going to be uber busy at work...ugh. And then work this weekend too...double ugh! Well, here I go!

Mine at last
Last Saturday I mentioned that I found some shoes at Gucci that I adore. Not just any shoes...5.5 inch metallic platform heels that are absolutely FABULOUS! B mentioned that they may go on additional sale...and they did! I picked them up yesterday at 80% off retail!!They were less pricey than either of my Tory Burch shoes and surprisingly more comfortable. So you know what I'll be wearing all summer! We are having a wine dinner at Peg's this weekend so I will post some photos of my outfit :)
