By the light of the moon

2011 03 20 photo
Last night I crashed at about 7 PM and woke up this morning at 2:45AM for our 4:30 AM practice. Yes, ashtanga yoga makes you have a wonky sleep schedule! I snapped this photo of the "Supermoon" before walking to practice.

Today was the start of my 6th week of practice here. Led was tough this morning, which I am going to attribute to the full moon. With only 8 practices left here in India, I really want to make sure I get something out of each one. During conference this afternoon, Sharath was emphasizing the importance of deep breathing during practice, so that's what I am going to do tomorrow.

The moon appeared like a backdrop this morning as I was driving to my local studio for Mysore. It looked fake it was so pronounced! Great pic :)

i am so happy you got a shot of it! i was soooo looking forward to it over the weekend, but when it came out, i was soooo tired that i had passed out on my friend's couch and had totally forgotten all about it!

We saw the supermoon in the midwest too, but I gotta say it was nowhere near as fabulous as it looks in this picture!
