Last October I got the bad news that I was being laid off from my position of 7+ years. Not the best way to end the year. However, since then, I have traveled to India for 2 months, been to both American coasts, spents oodles of time with my nephews and generally been enjoying the time off, especially since work called me back part time in January. Today I am signing papers to be re-instated as if I never left. Corporate America - gotta love 'em.
I really have enjoyed working shorter weeks but I know in the long run going full-time will be better for me and the hubs, what with insurance, 401K, etc. Sigh. Sometimes it feels like feast or famine!

Anyways, now that the hubs and I are both gainfully employed for the first time in 2 years, I plan on keeping up my frugal shopping ways. I read a good post on how complete shopping bans are not good for someone who enjoys it as much as I do, but with a closet bursting at the seams, do I really need another pair of shoes (Hmmmm...that is a difficult question!)?

Yes, Yes- there is always room for a new pair of shoes!!!
At least you really made the most out of your free time and going back you won't really be feeling like you've missed out.
As for frugal shopping, it's definitely better to limit rather than cut out!
Ahhh, a mixed blessing. Glad you'll have some stability, though!
Congrats (?) on going back to the work grind. It's not always fun, but I hope it's rewarding for you.
And I agree with Mommyblogger, there IS always room for more shoes, haha!
i never need anything but i always want something T_T
it IS difficult for me to stop shopping...
Glad to hear you have your job back. I just graduated and am having a tough time finding a job that's suited for my skills. I'm trying not to take it personally because I know EVERYONE is having a tough time!

What a lovely post - great pic, great news and link to another great blog. Good Luck with your new/old job. X
The answer is yes, yes you DO. :)
That dress is so very lovely on you! The perfect outfit to celebrate getting your full-time job back. It's bittersweet, I know. :)
Major congrats, especially with the state of the economy/employment opportunities. You look so pretty in this colorful dress. Love the shape of it.
I would say that you can always find room for new shoes, but in reality I'd purge before buying if your closet is really that full.
