working wardrobe | lighting makes a difference

10.16.12
dress: Loft / blazer: Gap / shoes: Tory Burch
We had some dreary wet weather yesterday, which forced me to take quick indoor remix photos. I promise this dress is much cuter in the right light :)

10.17.12
top: Anthro / cardi: Target / skirt: Uniqlo / shoes: Ann Taylor / earrings: old
Funny how much difference natural light makes in even a simple photograph of one's clothes.

We are traveling to NYC tomorrow for our annual visit. I am so looking forward to spending time with good friends, seeing some cool shows and sights, eating some good food, and doing some good shopping, of course. I'm glad to know I wear the clothes that I buy there!

I decided to poke my head into Loft last night and saw that dress! It's so cute on, even in indoor light. ;) I do think sunlight can give a better view of black clothing though.

Light is everything when it comes to photography (hence, the name)
but the new dress is adorable!

We spent 4 days in NYC last weekend. When we left, I felt like I was being evicted from Paradise :(

I think I'm giving up on indoor photos, although I wonder if I'll reconsider in the midst of cold winter. Natural light is kinder and much more beautiful. Still really lovin' your hair!
