Over halfway into this project now and I am still loving it.

Still keeping these weeks pretty simple by using lots of digital products. Seeing these photos make me miss my nephews who are on the east coast for the month of July, visiting their other side of the family. I guess I can share them for 1 month out of the year!

I REALLY am trying to keep my PL albums to only 2/year. Even at this rate, if I keep at it I will be drowning in a sea of scrapbooks by the time I am...lots older than I am now. Not worrying about it too much currently - that's future EE's problem ;)

Traveling in comfort

I wore this outfit no less than 3 times on our vacation: the day we left, to see Legally Blonde the play and the day we returned. It is comfy enough to sit for hours on end on the airplane but chic enough to go directly from the plane to wherever we needed to go. I am not a fan of wearing track suits a la Juicy Couture on the plane.

What do you wear to be comfortable when traveling?

This may sound silly but the one thing I really don't like about vacationing is how it messes up my practice schedule. Daily practice can be tiring and repetitive, but is especially rewarding when noticeable changes occur in how deep a pose can be attained.

We also had fun taking these photos, inspired by my dear friend, Jill. We haven't seen each other since India, but keep in touch via FB, blogs and IG. Besides practicing in the shala, I really miss the ashtanga community in Mysore, but am slowly building one here.

Returning back to my normal schedule after a vacation always takes a few days. Because I have so much I should do, I end up not doing anything and watching Master Chef on the DVR instead. Yes, I am the world's worst procrastinator.

These outfits, for example, are from 2 weekends ago at the end of June. The first was worn on our bowling night and the 2nd on a movie date night with the hubs. Is it wrong to wish the weekend were already here instead of a work week that's just begun?

I am not sure why sitting in an airplane for 7 hours is so exhausting, but it is. Hope to be back in our normal routine soon.

I've been keeping my PL weeks pretty simple for the rest of June in order to get it done.

My 12 photos for the 12th of June. Can't believe I have been doing this all year so far, but having the iPhone has made photo-documenting infinitely easier.

Almost halfway through the year with PL and still loving the process. Also loving that it is making me use up the stash of scrapbooking products I have been hoarding through the years. I am REALLY going to try not to buy any pretty papers, etc the rest of the year and USE up what I have.

weekend update | balls, boys and birthdays

Although this past weekend was a working one for me,  we did manage to get in some fun mini-adventures in between. One of our friends organized a bowling night on Friday at Lucky Strike, which is just a few blocks from our place.

None of us are expert bowlers by any means, but we had a great time catching up, making fun of each other's gutter balls and cheering each other's strikes.

On Saturday Joe took me to a new taco place for lunch. The food was so tasty - I imagine we will be returning soon.

We went to Bombay Pizza for his birthday-eve dinner and watched "Seeking a Friend for the end of the World," which was only ok.

Our main event yesterday was to see Magic Mike with some other friends. Yes, the hubs wanted to see Magic Mike on his birthday. Reason #378 that I love him! My only complaint about the movie? Less talking more dancing! It was quite funny.

And what I wore. I actually took photos with my big camera as well, but uploading them requires many more steps. I can't wait for the day that pictures can be directly uploaded to the internet from a real camera like the iPhone!

Easy dressing

This week has been all about keeping things simple. I'm not sure where the time went or how Friday crept on me so quickly. Too bad it's a working weekend, so no rest for the weary.


I love this dress. And I love seeing how "blonde" my hair was last summer. That was a fun phase but I think I'll be sticking to more "natural" color from here on out.

Seriously hot

Summer is definitely upon us and the days seems to be getting hotter. Getting dressed, however, is a bit more difficult that it seems. I hate wearing layers because the sweat starts dripping as soon as I walk outside, but office building are kept ice cold. Luckily I do wear a white coat at work, which helps keep me warm inside, while a simple sheath keeps me cool outside.

My cuties

My nephews were feeling especially affectionate yesterday and I snapped a rare self-portrait of all three of us. The lighting in the room was a bit dim so the quality is not the best but I love the emotion captured here. They both have their moments (don't we all?), but overall they are really the sweetest and cutest babies around. I simply adore them and they make me happy.
