I am a lover of all things bright and colorful, but sometimes staying neutral can be a good thing. This week Megan and Keely are hosting a neutrals week challenge so why don't you join in on the fun?
Someone commented on my flickr that this look was very mod and beatnik, which, now seeing it, I suppose it is, although I don't feel nearly that cool.
I guess the best thing about a basic black sweater dress is how versatile it can be with the addition of different accessories.

Mod and beatnik? Aren't those a little opposite!? I guess that's the benefit of simple, pulled together outfits - they are so easy to interpret different ways!
