working wardrobe | on the mend
dress: Banana / cardi: Loft / shoes: Tory Burch
I think I am almost over this thing that has been kicking my a$$ for the past 2 weeks. Actually slept without being woken up by hacking coughs for the last 2 nights, although I am basically almost sleeping sitting up since lying flat seems to make it worse still.
dress: ABS / cardi: Gap / shoes: MarcJacobs / sunnies: Dsquared / jewelry: Collingnon Designs
I don't normally wear a huge amount of makeup on a good day, but I definitely couldn't be bothered this week. It would all wipe off with the amount I am blowing my nose!
dress: Loft / cardi: Target / shoes: Geox
And the trend for the week so far - dresses with cardis. Easy, comfy and don't have to think about it.
We went to a movie last night. It had so much potential, but wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. Did bring back high school flashbacks and how I am so happy I survived that part of my life!

project life | week 44
{Oct 28-Nov 3}

full spread
How can there only be 8 weeks left in the year?!? So not ready for the holidays yet.

full spread inserts right side
Joe's family is so good about sending cards during random holidays, I'm glad we have a place to put them now.

left side
The boys were the cutest Batman and Robin ever!

insert front and back
I took a couple Instax photos on Sunday so made a couple matching layouts to put in the album. The pretty lady in the photos is a person I have known peripherally for a few years but only started hanging out with her more recently. Turns out her sister and my best friend are good friends living out in California (and I know her sister as well). Six degrees of separation :)

right side
I haven't been taking as many daily photos lately but was still able to fill up the pockets nicely.

full spread inserts left side
Another week down, another to go. Funny, but still not tired of this project and, in fact, enjoying it even more.

working wardrobe | yes, I guess I'm sick
top: J. Crew / blazer, belt&pants: Gap / shoes: Tory Burch / sunnies: Dsquared
On Saturday the temperature dropped pretty low and whatever the cold weather brought was not well received by my body. I pride myself on being a healthy person and never getting sick, but I have been hacking up a lung this week.
top: Anthro / cardi&shoes: Old Navy / pants: JCrew
I was feeling so bad I even missed 2 days of yoga practice, which is a big deal for me. And comfort has been the key to dressing this week.
top: JCrew / cardi&belt: Gap / skirt: Old Navy / boots: Nordstrom Rack
I keep telling myself it's just allergies but one of my yoga peeps (who is a pediatrician) heard me this morning and declared I had a virus, which should work itself out after about 10 days. So I am keeping my fingers crossed she is correct! And I guess I am a bit sick.
I've mentioned this before and I'm sure I'll mention it again, but having a Granimal-like wardrobe helps when throwing outfits together!

project life | weeks 42+43
{Oct 14-20}

full spread
This year is going by insanely fast. I am happy that I didn't take the photo-a-day approach to my album and that it just contains random stories about the week.

left side
Since I now have a dedicated NYC album, I am still trying to work out what I want to include in a regular PL album and what to save for the travel album. Yes, life is hard, right?

right side
I think that photo of my sister is so funny - really captures how she is feeling these days from keeping up with 2 boys under the age of 3!
{Oct 21-27}

full spread no inserts
Last week was very full.

full spread inserts right side
I have been trying to keep my additional pages to this album at a minimum but with the concert and Halloween more photos had to be included!

left side
I actually took some pretty decent photos of Madge with my point-and-shoot camera. Still don't have the cahones to sneak in the dSLR; not sure how I could disguise it anyways!

insert 1, front and back
I cut down a 6x6 page protector to fit some ephemera from the concert. Love that I have place to put the stuff I collect!

insert 2, front and back
I bought some of the smaller page protectors to fit the instagram pics.

insert 3, front and back
And I definitely wanted to include lots of photos from our Halloween celebration.

right side
I focused on some of the people that we love in our life on this side of the spread.

full spread, inserts left side
And we're all caught up...for now ;)

weekend casual | happy Halloween!
We were inspired this year by Burning Man to go all out for our costumes this year and I love that our friends followed suit!
After all, it's not everyday that we can wear as much glitter and guy liner as we would like. And one good thing about the iPhone not working well low light situations - I take out the big camera and take much better photos.
The hubs definitely made an incredible transformation.
And I was the angel I always am (ha!).
Happy Halloween! I would love to see your costumes :)

weekday casual | MDNA (and a good hair day)
top&jeans: Uniqlo / booties: DV by Dolce Vita / bracelets: Tiffany's, gift'd & Chan Luu
Although we were sad to leave NYC on Tuesday, we have lots going on this week. I actually took Wednesday and today off from work, mainly because we were seeing Madonna last night!
I obsessively bought pre-sale VIP tickets back in February, which were insanely costly, but you only live once, right?
The VIP tickets included a pre-party with food, drinks as well as a "swag" bag that had inside a tee, program, as well as sample of her new perfume.
Our seats were unfortunately not in the "golden triangle" but in the 3rd row.
She looked and sounded amazing!
And I have never gotten more compliments on my hair, from friends at the show as well as FB peeps after I posted my pics.
