I think I am almost over this thing that has been kicking my a$$ for the past 2 weeks. Actually slept without being woken up by hacking coughs for the last 2 nights, although I am basically almost sleeping sitting up since lying flat seems to make it worse still.

I don't normally wear a huge amount of makeup on a good day, but I definitely couldn't be bothered this week. It would all wipe off with the amount I am blowing my nose!

And the trend for the week so far - dresses with cardis. Easy, comfy and don't have to think about it.


We went to a movie last night. It had so much potential, but wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. Did bring back high school flashbacks and how I am so happy I survived that part of my life!

Over the course of my  outfit documentation these past few years, I have noticed one trend in my closet - I love pretty dresses and tend to keep them for long periods of time.


I bought this one specifically to wear to our rehearsal dinner, many moons ago.


And it's made it to many other special occasions.


I am happy to have found a way to make it work in my everyday life wardrobe these days.

The past few weeks have found my closet in a disarray, so I am happy to finally be a bit more organized and reacquainted with my wardrobe.

And apparently the theme for what I wore to work this week was florals. Seeing my outfits as a group are more exciting to me than each one individually so I may just try this out for a bit.

Yesterday I went to my friends' 2nd grade class to help them with their reading. They were darling! Second grade would be a good age to teach. The kids are still cute, not jaded and want to please you.


I do have a new found respect for all teachers, though. Two hours was good enough for me. You really have to have the patience of the saint to deal with 22 kids all day, even if they are cute.


I bought this cardi years ago at a steal. It is becoming quite threadbare but I still love its bright spring color and the thinness actually works for Texas weather.

I wore this to the surprise baby shower my sister's friends threw for her. Although Brady Gaga is her 2nd babe, all of these mommy friends didn't get to know her until after the 1st one was born so they wanted to do something special for her.

I didn't think to add to jacket until looking being inspired by Lucky magazine (and probably countless bloggers who wear jackets all the time). I'm not sure why I don't wear jackets more often...probably because it's either blazing hot here or cold enough for heavy coats. At any rate, I definitely like the polish the jacket brings to the look.


I didn't think I would be able to participate in this challenge, but I made it!
